今天是阿晨上幼儿园的最后一天。回家后,我从他书包里掏出一堆杂物,包括这份成绩单。上半年,每个家长都获安排到校观察孩子在班上的表现,无非是做手工,唱唱歌,看看孩子画的形状等。这次,我没要求面谈,老师也觉得没必要见我,所以只收到书面报告。
成绩单上的分类如下:
Social-Emotional Development
- shows confidence
- expresses emotions appropriately
- shows initiative & independence
- shares and cooperates
- shows respect for people & property
- accepts responsibility for behaviour
Physical Development
- practises personal care & safety habits
- participates in movement activities
- shows large muscle control
- shows small muscle control
Academic Development

- expresses and represents ideas in many ways
- views effectively
- listens with understanding
- communicates orally
- understands that symbols and print have meaning
- shows mathematical understanding
- uses creative problem solving
级别为:Not yet meeting, Beginning to meet, Meeting, Exceeding
智识方面,往年幼儿园只要求孩子学会25个英文字母和数数1-20,今年增加了一项读和写的试验教学。这方面的分类如下:
Reading(Emergent Level)
- Reads for pleasure
- alphabet knowledge
- uses a variety of reading strategies
- demonstrates understanding of printed text
Writing(Emergent Level)
- shows emerging understanding of the elements of written language
- produces legible written symbols
- uses writing to convey meaning
这些项目,有一半我是不懂怎么衡量的。最糟的是有些连意思都摸不清,比如Academic Development里的views effectively。想了好久,把接下来两项的“听”和“说”都考虑在内的话,我勉强推论为“看”。可是又看什么呢?看得仔细?没左看右看乱乱看?
